Mike Hoska

In the two decades that have passed since his discovery of electronic music, Hoska has been at it with a relentless passion for pushing boundaries. Continuing to redefine accepted musical genres, cutting and scratching flawlessly to create wild new hybrids of sound. Beyond studio and performance, Hoska traveles regularly as a pro DJ of Numark Industries. Traveling around the world displaying and demonstrating DJ and studio components as a full time gig.

In 1991 Mike gained recognition for his turntable skills as a member of several local hip hop groups and competing in local and DMC competitions in his new home of Boston, MA after moving from south Florida. More currently, a part-time resident at the progressive artist commune AS220, Hoska was thrust into the epicenter of the New England electronic music movement. Stepping out side of todays laptop studio's and softsynth world, his productions are generated mainly through analog instruments and sequencers being an avid collector of vintage gear. With over 40 productions to his credit in various musical genres, Hoska has signed tracks to Little Mountain Recordings of Holland with his mates from Groovefire, and independently with DeepBass records of Madrid, Release Grooves of Toronto and NOSI music of NY, and his own label out of where he calls home Providence, RI - Cozy Music.

Recently he has begun working with Morrison records which has allowed him the opportunity to work in a focused direction of house music, his true love in electrionica. His releases have been charted by some of the biggest names in the industry and are currently being played by, Sander Kleinenberg, Plump DJs, Chris Fortier, D:Fuse, and Steve Porter to name a few.
