Risque Bouquet is an improvisational noise act synchronized with dance. Working together since August 2006 to create a hybrid performance project, Abby Saunders & Ted James fuse live Power Electronics with Japanese Butoh inspired movement. Rising from the idea that both music & movement coexist equally in the creation of performance, the duo shares the stage, bringing live improvisational work to a spectrum of venues. Based out of Providence, RI, and resident artists of AS220, Risque Bouquet is currently building a body of work for a feature performance, leading to the release of a live DVD & tour for 2008. Their debut full-length album Soaked and Artists EP are scheduled for release with Cozy Music & Rebelmedia Recordings this fall. |
